How is ek tha tiger movie

Quite a good start and the fight scene too though OTT is well picturised, though Salman's body double is evident, in fact throughout the film one can easily make out that in several stunts Salman and Katrina's body double has been used. Back to the story Salman is sent on next assignment to follow Professor Gidwai who is doubted to share his secrets of research with ISI which is never solved till the end and they he meets Katrina.

Their romance is well handled though it does slacken the pace. What saves the romance is Sal-Kat chemistry obviously, their scenes are cute but one awaits impatiently for the focus to shift to thrills The interval point is well handled and does jolt you The second half has more twists and turns which are well handled though the story becomes more of a fiction by now and expecting realism is like expecting an offbeat film from Salman.

The moment the couple escapes Spoiler alert the film becomes a typical cat n mouse masala film and the focus is more on action and chases The stunts are well choreographed though many times they are too overdone. On the plus point, the relationship between Ranvir Shorey and Salman is well handled, even Salman-Kat scenes are well handled no doubt. There are several patented Salman Khan scenes which will appeal only to his fans like Salman stopping a collision of a train on the road by using his jacket which is so unrealistic.

Another is his jump from a bike to the plane. Direction by Kabir Khan is decent though the film is more of a masala film and unlike his earlier films Music is superb, Banjaara is good, while Saiyara is melidious and Laapata is superbly sung by KK and picturised well Camera-work is fab Dialogues are good Action scenes are good though the body doubles are evident Salman Khan gives a restrained performance and does his act well though I expected much more as this is his first film with Kabir Khan.

Katrina Kaif does her usual act and she is good in parts but many places the dialogue delivery does appear artificial. Amongst rest Ranvir Shorey does a superb job as usual though his role could be more impactful Girish Karnad is good in his part, while Roshan Seth is wasted rest are okay I still cant believe the film is an All Time Blockbuster but that is Salman Khan's star power.

Sherazade 28 April Where do I begin with 'Ek Tha Tiger' I guess I should say with blockbuster type films, acting is really not required as the special effects, action sequences, loud music and flashy wardrobe and props become the stars of the show and therefore are at the forefront and what the audiences are treated to.

Sure there are those who would come for the superstar cast but action movie-buffs are usually viewing for the former rather than the latter. That said, 'Ek Tha Tiger' or ETT as it is known to fans around the world is not entirely bad acting wrapped in explosive special effects and action sequences, it does have its moments of drama and suspense and by the time its elaborate plot starts to unravel, you will either have made the commitment to keep watching or have given up completely as you do have to suspend your disbelief quite a lot for this film.

Tiger played by Salman Khan is a secret agent for India's intelligence bureau and lives for his job which he is good at as evident in the nearly thirty minute long opening sequence in which he is double-crossed and cornered by half a dozen men yet manages to beat them all up and escape with hardly a scratch on him. That encounter took place somewhere in Morocco, it has been used as the venue for many action scenes in Hollywood films as well.

Afterwards, Tiger returns to India where he is sent on a new mission to Ireland to keep track of a professor whom the bureau believes in leaking sensitive information to Pakistan. Upon Tiger's arrival, he scopes out the professor and finds it hard to believe that such man who is so engrossed in his duties at the university could be spy. Nevertheless, he proceeds on his mission to keep track of the man. One day, while he's watching the professor, he notices movement in the professor's home after the professor has left to walk his dog and sneaks in to investigate, inside he finds a woman dancing around as she cleans the home, feeling that she is being watched she turns around and it's Katrina Kaif yup bad acting in something even as simple as turning around and looking surprised and Tiger is immediately smitten.

He devises a plan to get to know her by pretending he doesn't have a place to stay and she offers him room and board and sooner rather than later they begin dating. Tiger continues to receive his Intel via his assistant played by Ranvir Shorey and the relationship between Zoya Kaif's character and Tiger blossoms until one night when Tiger receives a phone call and is told that a transmission is being sent from the professor's home while Tiger and the professor are out watching a play together.

Tiger races to the intercept the transmission and catches the culprit in the act, with his gun trained on the culprit he asks the person to turn around with their hands up. What happens next and the result of that makes up the rest of the film. Wait didn't that happen to James Bond in Casino Royal? Aryan "Mr A" in Dhoom 2? Shekhar Verma in Khakee? You know what, I could go on and on with this.

The music was good though, especially the song that played when the lovers were in Havana, Cuba. The excitement was also accompanied by some fear generated by its promos, which were clearly cut to exploit the Star-Mania in the nation, instead of stressing more on the film's content or storyline. Being released on a National Holiday 15th August with an open 5 day weekend including Eid and a never heard before number of prints, it is sure going to be a mammoth blockbuster, perfectly planned by its producers and Salman himself.

But coming from a director like Kabir Khan, its in fact quite sad and disheartening for the future of our own Indian Cinema which more believes in bowing down in front of its Stars than being confident on their own vision, content and talent.

ETT starts off on a typical note with a long fight sequence and then enters into a romantic zone as a trademark feature of a Yashraj film. In the first half it stresses more on the romance between its two stars and less on being a spy thriller.

Revealing two completely predictable twists before and after the interval, its pace drops hugely as it progresses towards it overstretched uninteresting climax. So where the first half tries to win over the viewer with its romantic moments, the second half tries the same through its prolonged actions sequences which are well directed but tend to go overboard too like the train stopping with a coat and again wearing it calmly. He does everything in the movie ranging from dance, comedy, action and romance regardless of the fact that he is actually playing a country's official undercover spy.

Yet for the fans who love watching his comic scenes, the film might turn out to be less entertaining as compared to Salman's last few South remakes.

But the way it is executed on the screen, can easily be rated as completely filmy, with the agencies of two major countries of the world trying to catch their own spies like kids. The writers take the viewers as granted as they easily forget their initial plots and get on to the others without caring about any continuity. For instance, the suspicious professor suddenly disappears out of the film and the story shifts to another plot altogether post intermission.

Music further remains one of the ineffective points of ETT with no particular songs making a solid impact as seen in Salman's previous projects. However Cinematography makes it likable along with a fine background score by Julius Pecham, which majorly works in its action sequences. Talking about performances, when you have a star called Salman Khan in the film then you don't have performances but only people reacting to his dialogues in the script to their best of their abilities.

So Salman plays the part of a powerful spy in his own usual unique carefree style, providing a lot of moments for his fans to cheer loudly.

Katrina Kaif as her rival lady love, holds herself well in front of Salman and looks stunning in some fabulous outfits. She features in few exceptional stunts in the second half done by a professional , which are bound to get her enough claps and shouts despite of Salman being there in the fight.

Supporting them both are all the other actors in the cast who obviously don't have any important significance in the script. Probably the reason for this lies in his flawed script which keeps shifting its focus from one aspect to another touching romance, action, sacrifice, revolt and patriotism in a vague manner.

It is enthralling and gives you an entertainment potion right from the beginning till the end. Tiger reaches Dublin and follows his activities with help of Professor's care-taker, Zoya Katrina Kaif.

Doing his duty , Tiger falls in love with Zoya and is occupied in two states of mind that whether he will perform his duty or began a brand new life with Zoya.

Directed by Kabir Khan Kabul Express , New-York , Ek Tha Tiger starts off very well with wonderfully executed opening action scene where Tiger fights the other spy agents followed by couple of scenes in London and Dublin. Kabir Khan has done a good job by keeping the movie entertaining right from the beginning till the end. He is thought provocative and does not loose focus.

Full marks should be given to the action director who has choreographed the action sequences with aplomb and looks are stylish and superbly-executed. The tram chasing scene , the fight scenes in Havana are just mind-blowing and give you an appetizer for more. However , the film do contains some loop holes like the story-telling which is weak on merits and could have been worked upon. Screenplay is decent with few loose ends. The ending of the film could have made little crispy rather than just showing simple one.

However , all these demerits are compensated by stupendous performances by Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Salman delivers yet again with crispy humorous witty one- liners. Watch for him in the action scenes as well. He just surprises you in every sequence. Katrina did leaves an impact and is not sidelined considering that it is a Salman's movie.

She was fantastic in the fight scenes choreographed in Havana. Cinematography by Aseem Mishra is eye- catching capturing beautiful locales of Dublin , London and Istanbul. Music by Sohail Sen and Sajid-Wajid is good but not great. Also , full marks should be given to the rocking background score. Overall , Ek Tha Tiger delivers what it promises - Entertainment. This has style as well as substance. Salman's super stardom and well-defined content will make it sustainable at the ticket window and has good legs to prolong its splendid run.

Go for it. Definitely Watchable 3. First, I thought that it would be an entertaining movie, but it was only after watching the film that I realized that for the very first time, in case of an ACTION movie, I was wrong. The film would have been entertaining if there was something more like action. There is overdose of romantic and dramatic scenes which draws us towards tedium.

The songs are good, but Due to their poor placement ,they do not look entertaining at all. Performances have been the worst on the part of each and every actor.

The action scenes are just OK, but that is not enough. Something is missing. The film wasn't supposed to be a romantic drama but an action thriller. On the whole, Ek Tha tiger fails as a film. It is a big, big, big disappointment. Watch it if you want to be disappointed. Story is not ended probably but we can except EK Tha Tiger Part-2 - Masha Allah song comes at the end that lacks the audiences to stand and watch through it Finally the movie has many fresh things..

It is more than one time watch Ek Tha Tiger is a romantic thriller which tells the story of a college scientist suspected of selling missile technology secrets to Pakistan. The Indian government sends a secret agent, codenamed Tiger Salman Khan , to find out about the professor's activities. Zoya Katrina Kaif who is studying at a fictional dance academy located at TCD, and together they embark on a roller-coaster journey that takes them from Dublin to Istanbul then to Kazakhstan and Chile.

It's marketed on the posters and images of the movie as if it's some kind of full throttle action movie but in truth although containing some fighting and shootouts, it's mostly a weird kind of Rom-Com movie.

Of course Bollywood rarely lacks romance and this is the same, it does try to thrill and the ending does add a little boost to the story but it's the beginning that truly drags this down and stops it from being near okay. The choreography is nicely done when it is shown and the dancing and singing is lacking in true style but is still pretty nicely taken care of.

The main problem is with the story itself and the over dramatic or just plain stupid scenes that really make this not worthwhile. Listen Salman Khan isn't half bad in this but he never truly gets into the role, the action scenes he more than takes care of and he excels mostly at the end, I just don't think he is overly great here in serious dialogue. Katrina Kaif is well cast as Zoya, a lady who reveals her back story the more the story goes on but really she is no different here to a lot of similar leading ladies roles seen elsewhere in Bollywood and fails to make an impact.

The cast is kind of well used but never truly that great, it is better when the film focuses more on Salman Khan's character Tiger as the rest of the cast feel a little pointless and the goons placed around the movie are pretty dispensable. Kabir Khan the director and co-writer had never really made an action movie before doing this so it can't be expected for him to get it spot on; he does however keep it at least fast paced although it can be a little implausible at times.

The story is a little stupid in truth and the beginning is not handled well in the script but also in the direction and even in the background music, it can feel as if this is two films split into two and then wrongly put together.

The choreography of the dancing as mentioned can be nice but can also be too random, I have always felt that in Bollywood movies the singing and dancing has to be positioned just right for it to work within the plot, this I feel does not time it all right.

So really overall a pretty lame movie but one that can the slightest bit enjoyed if you ignore the silly parts of it. It also has some really nice locations and it isn't filmed that badly, hey even the effects used aren't used overly that much and you don't notice them too much so it's not annoying in that way. Salman Khan can probably take some positives from this as maybe can Kaif but truly this could have been done better, but to be fair I just think the whole story just never worked.

It is not a Tiger's roar rather it is meow. An average film. Very tricky situation friend, If you watch film you will repent, because expectations were too high, if you won't then you repent also because hype is too much. Action scenes are innovative and entertaining. Director Mr. Kabir Khan has given more importance to explore new locations rather than thinking about content. There are no limitations to any character.

Whenever screenplay writers, Mr. Kabir Khan and Neelesh Mishra want to surprise audiences, they can do anything with logic or without logic. Dialogues are also not upto mark.

Goofs At , Gopi mentions that and flights departed from London and Frankfurt that day pretty close to the respective daily averages , but then he proceeds to equate that to , passengers, which would equate about passengers per flight, a long stretch given that the average capacity of a Boeing , which, even assuming all of those flights were Boeing s, is more than double the maximum capacity of of a Boeing Given that Frankfurt has the third largest passenger capacity in Europe behind Heathrow and Paris, the total number of passengers at both airports combined barely breaches the halfway mark of the , passengers quoted by Gopi in the movie.

Further really stretching this, and even considering all airports in London and not just Heathrow, ignoring the total number of departures which is met by Heathrow alone , the average number of departing and arriving passengers in all London airports combined is still , leaving us with an average of , departing passengers from all London airports, which even assuming an equal number from Frankfurt, is again barely half the quoted number of , passengers.

After watching recent Salman Khan starrers — completely idiotic movies combining dreadful writing, infantile humor, and hammy acting, most of it courtesy Mr. Khan "Ready", "Dabangg" — I decided to steer clear of Salman Khan films, unless the word of mouth was overpoweringly good.

However, do note that "Ready" and especially "Dabangg" were huge hits, so the paying public is not necessarily complaining about the quality of Salman Khan films. Rather, they flock to see middle-aged but well-muscled Mr.
